This isn’t an other-than-bluebonnet spring thing, but the real deal. Since I’ve been in the Austin area so much the past several weeks, I’ve been able to witness the progression of blooms, first in Austin, and then up I35 to the Metroplex. The blues are stunning this year, even the numbers of plants isn’t as great as in a good-rain-fall year. Sprinkled in with the bluebonnets in a few areas are Indian Paintbrush and two varieties of yellow flowers. It does a soul wonders to see this aspect of God’s creation!

The dogwoods are blossoming now (finally!) here in Virginia, but that picture of the bluebonnets along the road? WOW!
