A few things I noticed while running around town today. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Sunny showers of falling leaves

–nature’s confetti dancing on the breeze,

celebrating the ripe, old year

that’s not quite ready to surrender

You do have a gift for word pictures.

This fall, the words “nature’s confetti dancing on the breeze” meant a lot to me. You know how much I love fall, and on those few days that it seemed like it was raining leaves, I kept thinking about these words. And falling leaves sure seem like a God-style party to me.

    I agree.

And what’s kind of funny is that I wrote this quickly and didn’t look back…now I realize that it seems like I tried to rhyme the first two lines.

Yeah, I thought you were trying to rhyme on purpose. Ya know, since poetry is supposed to rhyme.
